Molecular Technical Specialist

The Techincal Specialist at Medpace Reference Laboratories plays a pivotal role in research based drug development within the pharmaceutical industry. • Perform moderate and high-complexity testing;
• Develop method validations for routine and biomarker testing in our expanding laboratory;
• Perform clinical sample management with appropriate chain of custody protocols;
• Maintain overview of inventory and orders;
• Comply with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP);
• Assist in maintaining accreditation standards, to include all check sheets and quality control information sheets (CAP and CLIA standards).

• A PhD in Molecular Biology or equivalent;
• Good knowledge of human genetics and medical terminology;
• Good knowledge of DNA sequencing concepts and strategies
• Familiarity with quantitative PCR
• Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing is a big plus
• Experience in a laboratory setting;
• Able to work in a team environment with effective interpersonal skills and able to work independently; and
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
