Job Summary

We are seeking a Financial Analyst II for our Reno, Nevada Safety Assessment site. 

The Successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing a basis for management planning, operating controls and financial performance appraisal.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   •    Collects and studies data to determine costs of business activities.  May recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures. •    Analyzes financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability. •    Performs moderately complex statistical, cost and financial analysis of data. •    Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis. •    Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals. •    Interprets financial transactions in order for Sr. Management to make economic or business decisions. •    Helps gather information and assist in preparation of annual strategic plan and operating plans. •    Prepares materials for presentation. •    Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance. •    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance or related discipline.
  • Experience:Three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Other:  Excellent spreadsheet skills required.

“The pay range for this position is $75,000 annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.”
