Associate Director, Financial Controllership

Job Profile Summary

Supports the EMEA Finance Controller. This role is responsible for driving a strong control environment with specific focus on balance sheet controls across EMEA and, in particular supporting legal entity ownership of GB80 and UK local compliance.  

Responsibilities

• Drives robust balance sheet management and review in accordance with local statutory requirements and US GAAP.
• Supports EMEA Financial Controller in activities to ensure SAO and other UK compliance
• Ensures adequate controls are in place around GB80 P&L and balance sheet
• Provision of quality and timely information required for statutory accounts and tax compliance for GB80 and other entities falling within UK geography
• Supports initiatives around consolidation of legal entities.
• Supports EMEA finance leadership team in other key activities such as Corporate Operating Review preparation.

Education, Experience & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with minimum 8 years’ of progressively responsible experience in the finance function.
• Extensive knowledge of both US and International accounting standards, internal controls best practice and SOX compliance.
• Knowledge of financial systems, including ERP applications and reporting suites such as Hyperion.
• Proven track record of results working with senior management in a consultative business approach.
• Ability to influence outcomes.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented including decision making, time management, and task prioritization.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and can make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
