Market Access Account Manager Oncology

About our client and the role

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with a global biopharmaceutical company and a challenging opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated In-Field Market Access Account Manager located in VIC or NSW.

Dedicated on the Oncology portfolio you will:

  • Provide direction and insights to support the development and implementation of the oncology portfolio strategy

  • Work within an evolving market landscape to introduce and elevate company and brand value propositions with key stakeholders in line with local and global strategy

  • Secure improved and innovative access to the client’s Oncology Portfolio in line with company and brand values and strategy

  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of robust commercial plans to achieve company’s objectives

  • Actively support the development and delivery of company’s commercial programs or partnerships for approved new products and licensed indications

  • Engage in value-based conversations with hospital pharmacy purchasing, procurement and specialists

  • Act as a conduit for pricing and tendering discussions

  • Focus on large accounts / hospitals and state tendering inputs

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years pharmaceutical in field experience (e.g. MSL, Key Account Manager, Hospital Sales, in-field market access)

  • Proven track record of success in the Australian hospital environment

  • Negotiation and contracting experience

  • Knowledge of the local Australian hospital landscape and the relevant customer groups and payor/policy influencers 

  • Existing relationships with Medical Oncologists in Australia and New Zealand

  • Ability to engage and build relationships with key hospital stakeholders, including procurement & tendering decision makers

  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills

  • Strong selling skills background

  • Experience developing business plans

  • Experience of designing and delivering business cases

  • Must be willing to complete the Medicines Australia CEP program within required timeframes or provide evidence of completion of the program

This role can be Melbourne or Sydney based. It’s a national role with significant travel (Eastern Seaboard coverage). You must be willing to travel and work outside normal working hours.
