Associate Director, Training – Clinical and Sales (Pharmaceutical)

This role is on IQVIA’s Contract Sales and Medical Solutions (CSMS) team and will be responsible for the development and delivery of foundational and advanced skills training for colleagues in both clinical (primary focus) and sales (secondary focus) field-based roles across multiple client/project teams. With limited guidance, individuals in this role will provide expertise to support training initiatives for their assigned client teams.  Individuals will need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to ensure the delivery of business results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design, development, approval, and delivery of disease state, treatment, product and marketplace training, as well as, foundational and advanced clinical customer engagement/sales skills training
  • Act as the primary link between assigned clients and IQVIA to manage the development and delivery of clinical and sales training in accordance with IQVIA and client policies/procedures and applicable regulations
  • Proactively coordinate efforts between the client’s Training, Medical, Sales and Marketing departments as needed to enhance the field representative’s ability to deliver appropriate messages and support
  • Consult with Medical and Commercial Leadership to identify appropriate training needs/gaps that will support the achievement of assigned client goals
  • Partner with clients to deliver on all aspects of training (home study, live, and virtual) programs including but not limited to: agenda creation and revisions, new hire on-boarding, training communications, compilation/creation of master slide decks, coordination of presenters for live and virtual training events/POAs, development of workshops, leader guides and train the trainer events, and reinforcement training activities
  • Develop strong and effective relationships within assigned clients and across IQVIA to provide learning solutions that support performance
  • Monitor course evaluations and compliance to gather metrics for continuous improvement and performance for assigned clients
  • Ensure all training deliverables are delivered on-time and on-budget in support of client training initiatives
  • Remain current on trends and developments in the fields of training, performance improvement, and organizational learning, while maintaining/building contacts with training vendors/training professionals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University required
  • Minimum 3 to 5-years of experience in training design, facilitation and delivery experience
  • Minimum of 2-years of direct field management experience
  • 2 to 4-years direct field-based experience
  • Experience operating with senior/executive management teams; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
  • Preferred:  RN or similar professional medical certification preferred, but not required
  • Ability to travel estimated at 30%
