Duties include: Maintaining cell lines and preparing cells for patch-clamp recording Preparing solutions and compound formulations for studies Daily maintenance of the cell culture/electrophysiology laboratories and ensuring appropriate levels of materials and consumables to allow studies to be performed as planned Maintaining tidiness of laboratory and equipment and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment is performed on due date Accurately collating, analysing and quality checking the data generated during studies Learning to perform patch-clamp recording of cells and provide technical assistance in the performance of ion channel studies Providing technical assistance for validation studies Maintaining accurate records of all laboratory work performed, in accordance with the standards of GLP and maintain accurate records of fridges/freezers’ contents at all times
