  Job Summary Provides administrative, logistical and technical support for Scientific staff conducting studies or supporting functions for operations of the laboratory. Coordinates all laboratory support, pre-study activities, method development, method validation, study activities, data and/or reporting activities. Responsible for data review for completeness, quality or QC against the applicable protocol or procedure. May be responsible for drafting client correspondence, study correspondence, reporting or direct client interaction. Interacts with other departments, scientific staff, and sponsors either locally or across sites.

We are seeking a Research Associate 2 for our Invivo Technical Group located in Shrewsbury, MA.

The following are responsibilities related to the Research Associate 2: Strong adherence to GLP compliance. Scope of study-related work is expanded to include the ability to manage multiple short duration studies in small numbers of animals with minimal supervision and to begin to supervise long-term routine studies in large numbers of animals with supervision, or to begin conducting more complex studies as needed.   Research Associate 2 is expected to cary a larger number of studeies, with a higher degree of complexity than Study Supervisor. Increased autonomy in communicating with sponsors and subcontractors conerning study-related issues (e.g., scheduling, coordination and shipment of biological samples in support of assigned studies). Ability to perform test article dosage calculations and review methodology for appropriate preparation.   Able to deputize for Study Diector during absences on ongoing studies during periods of routine activity with supervision. Works with Technical Operations management to contribute to research policies and procedures.  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Research Associate 2 position: Education:  Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in related scientific discipline. Experience:   Three years of related experience in GLP environment.  One year experience with research and investigative procedures, techniques, and literature. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
