Quintiles currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Medical Writer to join their Medical Communications team here in Green Park, Reading. 
The role will involve the preparation of client communication programmes, demonstrating knowledge of brand marketing strategy, key message development, with a focus on overall quality of all educational and promotional materials, as well as providing scientific and strategic expertise to support existing account teams and new business activities.
Successful candidates will have a medical communications and scientific background and,  ideally, have experience of producing marketing/promotional materials and/or writing for patients as well as being able to build excellent client relationships and keen to represent the company at meetings and congresses.
This is an opportunity to write for varied audiences on a range of therapy areas.
Quintiles Medical Communications is an international medical communications agency that develops and produces a broad range of communications programmes and materials on behalf of pharmaceutical industry. Working with our pharmaceutical clients, our activities include organising international symposia, developing educational programmes for physicians and patients, producing clinical trial investigator and participant support materials, and developing print/digital materials ranging from sales aids to peer-reviewed publications.

Key Skills/Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences (PhD preferred)
Writing experience within a medical communications agency/PR/Ad Agency - essential
Ability to produce written materials of high scientific quality that meet client strategic marketing objectives
Experience of a wide range of medical communications materials for a range of audiences
Excellent attention to detail
Creativity and ability to understand pharma marketing and strategy
Excellent project/time management and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively to tight deadlines
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
Enthusiasm and drive
Flexible attitude - managing ever-changing priorities
Budgetary awareness
Demonstrate familiarity with industry code of practice guidelines including ABPI/EFPIA and GPP/ICMJE
