Director, IT - Program Manager

Essential job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the overall execution, management and delivery of a program
  • Creation of a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements
  • Develops and presents proposals and negotiates final agreements
  • Directs project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners or subcontractors.
  • Manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of escalated project issues
  • Accountable for the Project Budget
  • May carry responsibilities of team leadership
  • Facilitates the Program-Level Governance team
  • Produces reporting on progress of program objectives, including all projects within program
  • Manages and facilitates issue and risk resolution and/or escalation across program
  • Directs and supports project teams within the program
  • Aligns project work efforts with Program vision
  • Participates on Project-Level Governance team of each project within program
  • Ensures adherence to standard project management framework for the program and projects
  • Manages project resource allocation, across program

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in IT or related field
  • 10+ years related experience with ERP, implementing Financial and Procurement systems
  • Oracle ERP experience, Cloud preferred
  • Solution Architecture experience preferred
  • PM certification or equivalent experience
  • Previous Consulting Experience Preferred
  • Advanced degree would be preferred

Related Business/ Technical Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:

  • Project/Program Management experience in the deployment of leading edge, multi-vendor technologies in a highly complex commercial environment.
  • Has demonstrated clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams
  • Has demonstrated a thorough understanding of the legal issues with contracts
  • Has demonstrated advanced negotiation and presentation skills

Project Complexity:

  • Manages large or strategic, or multiple large customer deployments with complex or evolving project objectives.
  • Projects utilize multiple third-party vendors and cross multiple functions, have high organization visibility and may include multiple locations or regions.
  • Manages multiple critical projects in tight time frames for mission critical network deployments.

Core Competencies:

  • Project planning and contract negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple large and critical tasks.
  • Advanced Negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability when required to control multiple project managers in the delivery cycle
