<h2>Job Overview:</h2><p style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Labcorp Drug Development is currently seeking a Veterinarian II to join their team based in Greenfield, IN. Reporting to the Associate Director / Site Lead Veterinarian, the incumbent will provide veterinary health care for laboratory animals, give advice regarding the care and maintenance of laboratory animals, and provide training for technicians.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;"> </p><p style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Key Responsibilities include;</span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Provide laboratory animal medical and surgical care by examination, treatment and advice to ensure adequate and humane veterinary support. </span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Assist site lead veterinarian to ensure that company policies and practices regarding animal care and welfare are in compliance with relevant regulations.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Assist in training of staff on general animal health and welfare and common veterinary procedures including, where applicable, annual externship program.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Serve on the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) or Ethical Review Panel (ERP), where appropriate, as alternate member, and conduct veterinary review of IACUC protocol submissions under supervision.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Perform physical examinations of laboratory animals as indicated in protocols and SOP.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Perform ophthalmic or other veterinary examinations on laboratory animals as indicated in protocols and SOP (expected within 6 months of external hire).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Report all animal care concerns and become involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary.</span></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;"> Participate in client conference calls and visits.</span></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;"> Manage projects and complex cases independently.</span></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;"> </p><h2>Education/Qualifications:</h2><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Graduate of AVMA accredited or EAEVE accredited/approved veterinary school or equivalent.</span></p><h2>Experience:</h2><ul><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">3 years of veterinary clinical experience or 2 years of experience in Laboratory Animal Medicine.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Must have a veterinary license in at least one state and ability to obtain a license and USDA accreditation in the state in which the position is located within 6 months.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Knowledge of small and large animals used in research.</span></li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;"> Must be able to work in a laboratory setting with laboratory animals.</span></li></ul>
