The Technology Solutions division of IQVIA develops, markets, and implements healthcare-focused enterprise software applications to help life sciences customers drive their business from molecule to market.

Function Purpose

The IQVIA Technologies Global Delivery organization sets the standard for and delivers IQVIA Technologies solution implementation, support, and services from planning through execution. Our delivery engagements span single-country, single-solution to multi-country, complex integrated multi-solutions.

  • Serving our customers through the alignment of program managers who lead delivery engagements and ensure customer business goals are captured and met.
  • Supporting the business goals of IQVIA regional business units through ownership and accountability to deliver quality products and services.
  • Offering design, implementation, post-implementation, and technical advisory support and services engagements.

Role Overview

The Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives is a new role with responsibility for maturing our strategic initiatives capabilities while alos leading key initiatives aimed at increasing our organizational maturity, operational effectiveness, and development of capabilities to support our evolving solution portfolio.

In this highly visible role, you will partner with members of the Technology Solutions Global Delivery (TSGD) leadership team to define and advance these goals.

Responsibilities

As the Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives, you will work closely with the Director, Strategic Planning and member of the leadership and management teams to:

  • Lead key strategic initiatives impacting the performance of the Global Delivery team (financial & operational KPIs, internal stakeholder, employee & customer satisfaction)
  • Design, plan and manage the execution of organizational transformation initiatives
  • Define and manage program scope, timelines and deliverables for each initiative and map out interdependencies across other programs
  • Develop actionable recommendations by soliciting stakeholder input and synthesizing operational data to generate meaningful insights
  • Prepare and/or deliver well-crafted presentations / communications to senior executive audiences and other stakeholder groups
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across multiple departments and Business Units
  • Bring to bear your consulting and strategy experience to solve complex problems

Skills & Experience

  • 5-8 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, program portfolio management or equivalent
  • Experience leading operating model, organization design and/or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience leading transformation for individual teams and organization-wide initiatives
  • Highly analytical, with ability to use the power of data combined with industry knowledge to develop insights that challenge and influence the business
  • Excellent communicator who can simplify complex concepts or data into easily understood narratives adapted for various audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills - structured approach and capable of managing competing numerous work streams simultaneously
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to match stakeholder expectations to urgently deliver exceptional results
  • Understanding of SaaS business model
  • Working knowledge of technology delivery organizations, implementation and support models preferred
  • Works effectively in a remote environment and across geographies / cultures
  • Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success
  • Fluency in English required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
  • Flexible, periodic travel for internal meetings
