Execution and management of capital projects
Qualifications
• BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience
Required Skills and Experience
• Authoring and/or reviewing GMP documentation like SOPs and change management
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task across multiple projects
Desired Skills and Experience
• Purchase and installation of equipment in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing facility
• Team/Project management
• Vendor management
• Safety reviews
Responsibilities
• Purchase, installation, and qualification of equipment
• Execution and coordination of changes to equipment or facility, including cross-functional project teams
• Authoring and reviewing GMP documentation like SOPs and change management
• Managing the purchase, installation, and qualification of equipment
• The role includes:
o Scheduling delivery of equipment
o Scheduling internal work orders for installing the equipment
o Coordinating with Merck engineers on qualification timing and location
o Vendor management
Scheduling vendor work
Escorting vendors
Completing Lock Out/Tag Out activities for utilities (management of safety issues)
o Entering equipment information into the electronic GMP documentation system
o Conducting safety reviews internally on new equipment
o Managing applicable change controls
