Responsible for design and support of a Global base of SAP users relating to Human Capital Management.  Ensure that business processes are defined and supported by the system both during initial system implementation and thereafter.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

•Define and analyze business requirements from management for HCM functional area.

•Develop and recommend process changes and work with the Global SAP Solution Architect to identify SAP solutions to meet the business needs.

•Perform the SAP configuration activities in the HCM space and prepare required transport documentation as needed to move system changes into production environment.

•Develop functional and technical specifications for system changes.

•Assist with designing and testing new applications developed to support the HCM area of the business.

•Lead the development of test scripts for system, integration, regression and user acceptance test phases.

•Assist with SAP HCM global configuration as it relates to enhancements, maintenance and troubleshoot user issues related to HCM.

•Lead the creation of plans and QA/test activities for configuration/development activities.

•Lead function-specific testing efforts to ensure that the configured solution supports the business and generates accurate financial information.  

•Identify any process and/or business issues that may arise with the implementation of the software and develop plans to address those issues.

•Lead efforts to ensure optimal data structure within assigned area to meet functional needs..

•Present project progress, issues, and decisions to the IT management team and business stakeholders.

•Work with internal control to develop control narratives, control sets, and procedures that meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

•Identify metrics and related reports to be used after implementation to monitor process integrity and identify potential issues.   

•Promote and adhere to all compliance policies around organizational structure and common master data.

•Ensure deliverables are met on time, on/under budget, and meet/exceed expectations

•Lead process design activities with power users to improve operational excellence and lower cost of operations. 

•May oversee the work of other implementation and production support staff and/or consultants.

•Adhere to quality standards, pertinent regulatory requirements, and to departmental policies, practices and procedures. 

•Perform all other related duties as assigned.

 

  Job Qualifications  

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Management, MIS or Computer Science is preferred

Experience: 10 year’s of related SAP implementation and configuration experience with the HCM related modules. International SAP implementation/support experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
