  Job Summary Animal Care Technician – $1,000 Bonus – 18.00$/hour

We are looking for an Animal Care Technician to join our Toxicology team located in Sherbrooke. 

What will you work on? 

Our team of Animal Care Technicians act as professionals to ensure the cleanliness of the living environment of the animals according to the highest standards of welfare in the industry, assist the technicians in their daily tasks and participate in the physical/social activities of the animals.  We apply the principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about animals, autonomous and meticulous. Having an AEP in Animal Care is an asset. Our department values teamwork, respect and mutual aid. 

The ideal candidate must be able to work standing up for long periods of time, must be able to work physically (e.g. lifting up to 20 kg) and have a good understanding of written English.

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test.

Salary and Scheduled: Basic : $18.00 / hour; Opportunity to start at a higher level with a higher salary with relevant experience. Based on performance, salary could increase to $20/hour in 1 year. Full time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week). Weekend work (rotation) and bonus ($2.75/hour). After 37,5 h : Overtime paid at time and a half Holiday: Paid at double time Annual bonus based on performance. Bonus of 1,000$ after 6 months.
