Description: Method Screening Analytical Scientist within the Analytical Research & Development department

Application of chromatography and other analytical skills to execute data generation in a method development laboratory, to drive R&D of new drug substances.

Qualifications

• BS in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience

• MS in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline and 1-2 years of relevant experience

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years of laboratory experience (BS) or 1-2 years of laboratory experience (MS)

• Strong laboratory analytical skills

• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

• Recent research or industrial experience with expertise in routine U/HPLC analysis and troubleshooting

• Background in separation of multicomponent mixtures

Desired Experience and Skills

• Deep appreciation of interplay between chemical structure and physical properties

• Thorough understanding of chromatographic and mass spectrometry. LC-MS experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Execution of testing protocols, including timely sample preparation, analytical testing, and data reporting, with little to no supervision

• Set up chromatographic multi-column screening for method development purposes

• Documentation and reporting of results in an electronic notebook system

• Review of ELN notebooks
