Job Summary

Our growing organization is looking for a strong Accounting Analyst. This individual will work among business unit specific teams as well as the regional and global accounting and finance organizations. The ideal candidate will not only prepare, analyze, and report financial information, but will act as a strategic business partner that can streamline our laboratory operations into scalable accounting processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process for the Central Labs business unit of Q2 Solutions including the recording and analysis of revenue, cost, and expense activities timely and accurately.
  • As needed, assist with any customer invoicing or vendor payment issues.
  • Where applicable, ensure appropriate communication with all business partners and support business partners in financial decisions, if required.
  • Review the financial systems, processes, and procedures on an ongoing basis for further development of efficiencies.
  • Manage timely completion of detailed account reconciliation and follow-up / resolve action items as required.
  • Participate in or manage Accounting/Finance related projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Master of Accounting degree or Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
  • Experience with accounting for inventory is beneficial.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to top management, other department heads, and co-workers.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Finance modules preferred.
  • Strong Technical accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
  • Collaborate effectively with team members as well as internal and external business partners.
