In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Census/Data Technician 3for ourInsourcing Solutionssite located in Beaufort, SC.

The following are responsibilities related to theCensus/Data Tech 3:

• Observes group composition and collect reproductive data

• Performs and act as a resource to perform independent veterinary technical assistance for NHP’s including but not limited to tattooing, preoperative surgical preparation, anesthetic monitoring and recovery, administer pharmacologic compounds by injections via multiple routes (sc, im and iv), drug dosage calculations, blood collection, fluid therapy, minor wound treatment, and providing environmental enrichment to the NHPs

• Performs animal husbandry skills independently for NHP’s including feed, water, enrichment and cleaning of cages

• Develops, maintains and manages Access program data for reports in final form

• Assist in processing animals and cleaning feeders

• Operates and act as a resource to operate boats, forklifts and bobcats at an advanced level after onsite training

• Performs animal health observations and reports and documents any abnormal conditions or behavior of animals to the Assistant Project Manager

• Monitors, documents and reports animal irregularities

• Performs animal husbandry and veterinary technical assistance on designated weekend and holidays

• Traps, tattoos, injects and weighs animals as a member of a team with no supervisor direction on a quarterly basis

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Census/Data Tech 3position:

Education:

• GED or HS Diploma required.

• B.S. Degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology or biological sciences field preferred.

• AALAS certification at the Assistant Lab Animal Technician (ALAT) or higher required

Experience:

• Two years of experience working with nonhuman primates conducting field work, performing observations, research or working with primates in a lab setting. Must have knowledge and ability to perform all task listed in responsibilities.

• Intermediate level MS Access, Word and database experience.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
