Job Summary We are seeking a Scientific Product Manager, for ourRMS Strategic Business Innovation Departmentlocated inWilmington, MA.(This position can be remote or at our Wilmington site.)

Responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market strategies and plans for the Scientific Portfolio of Research Models & Services businesses Ensures financial return and outcomes resulting from R&D in close collaboration with operations, marketing and sales. Partners with Product Management/Marketing teams to assure consistency in the branding, positioning and messaging. Develops content strategies reflecting the intrinsic scientific utility and value while supporting the creation of assets that resonate with the target audience. Monitors and reports scientific/technical knowledge of scientific fields and their potential impact to products in the market. Develops competitive monitoring strategies to acquire and utilize data from to define products, messaging and positioning within the portfolio and the overall impact of the portfolio in the market. Manages product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports to senior management product portfolio performance. Partners with Product Management/Marketing teams to assure consistency in the branding, positioning and messaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates and develops and executes product/portfolio strategies. Actively manages portfolio composition and market performance. Develops and delivers sound market and product plans for product lines and overall portfolio, working cross functionally to ensure consistent application of corporate level guidelines and scientific engagement. Works collaboratively with business unit product managers and stakeholders around the world and where appropriate cross selling/marketing plans with other CR divisions. Conducts regular assessment of scientific and market opportunities, identifiesportfolio gaps and delivers solutions. Works with commercial development team to assess market potential and support senior management go to market decision process and implementation. Compiles and reports portfolio performance to senior management. Contributes to sales forecasting and budget planning. Identifiesregulatory, financial, distribution, and competitive limitations; develop appropriate data and implements plans to work with any obstacle to successfully meet the established goals. Leads cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans, for the most effective and profitable marketing of new products Develops comprehensive procedures to implement product planning policies; develops adequate controls and evaluates performance/results. Provides training on products internally. Formulates short-and long-range planning to market the product through all stages of the product’s life cycle. Identifiesregulatory, financial, distribution, and competitive limitations; develops appropriate data and implement plans to work with any obstacle to successfully meet the established goals. Supports the development and maintenance of product literature, website, etc. Attends scientific meetings to assess current market and support business objectives. Supports selling situations by serving as the technical resource for customers and the sales group. Prioritize and execute on strategic sales opportunities by leveraging scientific experience and subject matter expertise MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences or related discipline. Minimum 1-3 years related practical experience in in vivo pharmacology research and recent life science product development and management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Exceptional presentation skills. Must be able to influence and manage resources/staff without direct reporting relationships. Ability to multi-task and have great organizational skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Pays attention to detail. Must possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and be able to prioritize and re-evaluate priorities as situations change. Proficient in Computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, CRM). Domestic Travel up to 20-30%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MBA and/or PhD. PMP Certification. Experience with Salesforce.
