Instructional Designer - Clinical Laboratory

<div> <p>Labcorp is seeking an Instructional Designer to join its team in RTP, NC! This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing training curricula, materials, and programs to meet specific training needs for our laboratory staff. The Instructional Designer will provide instruction and guidance to trainers. Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content. Plans and coordinates skill assessments and training. Works with management to ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs. May facilitate training during introduction of new courses. Tracks and analyzes training programs by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Works within and across divisions to plan, create, and distribute electronic training modules, materials, guides, and presentations to meet various training needs</li> <li>Partners with technical laboratory trainers by providing guidance and development</li> <li>Works with technical trainers to advance their knowledge of new assays or procedures</li> <li>Plans, creates, and proctors advanced competency examinations to assess technologists' aptitude for advanced skills training</li> <li>Maintains and tracks all laboratory training documentation and training database</li> <li>Works with management, QA, and automation teams to ensure materials are current, covering relevant regulatory requirements and division SOPs, and consistent with automation protocols</li> <li>Responsible for creation of relevant onboarding materials, continuing education materials, seminars, lunch and learns, and Q&A sessions for staff development</li> </ul> </div><p><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";"><strong>Requirements:</strong></span></p><div> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science</li> <li>Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li> <li>Proficient with computers and Microsoft suite</li> <li>Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Articulate360 is a plus, but is not required</li> </ul> </div>
