  Job Summary  

We are seeking a Technician for our General Toxicology department located in Sherbrooke.

The General Toxicology department is responsible for ensuring the welfare of the animals and the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

Work schedule and salary: Salary starts at $19.50/hour. Full time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week). Weekend work (rotation) and bonus ($2.75/hour). After 37,5 h : Overtime paid at time and a half Holiday: Paid at double time Annual bonus based on performance. Bonus of 2,000$ after 6 months.

What you will be working on?

 

Our team of Technicians are professionals who carry out technical tasks, observe the animals and maintain their living conditions according to the highest wellbeing standards in the industry.  We apply the principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

 

 

What kind of person are we looking for?

 

We are looking for a self-driven and meticulous person who is passionate about animals and holds a DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in Animal Heath (bioecology, biotechnology) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences (Bioecology, Biology, Animal Sciences). Our department values teamwork, respect and mutual support. 

The ideal candidate must be a team player with good observation skills, must be able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg) , must have a good understanding of written English and must be available to work a variable schedule.

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
