Our PPD Enterprise Learning team has an exciting leadership position open for a Director, Learning. Reporting to the Executive Director of PPD Enterprise Learning, this role is responsible for advising executive leadership on learning strategies for global teams and providing operational leadership in the design, development, execution, delivery, and measurement of global learning solutions.

Job Description:

The Director, Learning serves as a key leader for instructional design and delivery on a fast-paced global learning team, and as a liaison between the Enterprise Learning department, internal & external customers, and senior business leadership.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of learning concepts and methodologies, to include instructional design, mobile learning, micro learning, social learning, blended learning, gamification and learning management systems. Seeking a demonstrated track record of implementing high-impact, innovative learning initiatives in complex organizations.Support the development of a focused learning infrastructure, including global process harmonization and governance to support company strategic priorities and operational and financial goals.Partner closely with HR leadership team, HR business partners, talent management, and business leaders to identify and develop future skills and capabilities of the organization and renew focus on the talent lifecycle, with an emphasis on employee onboarding, orientation, and development.Progress the learning center of excellence through strategy, design, and consulting to design and deliver best in class, timely, talent-focused curricula.Oversee and lead the design, development, implementation, and administration of learning initiatives, programs, and technologies, employing a data-driven approach to continuously improve learning offerings.Provide leadership through effective staffing, performance management, and development.Ensure effective development, delivery, and measurement of integrated learning products and services to achieve a high-performing, innovative, continuous learning culture.Champion learning and governance structures, processes, methodologies, and return on investment (ROI) to deliver a consumer grade employee experience and support the pursuit of a competitive talent advantage.Serve as a thought leader, providing expert consultative guidance to executive business leaders to identify and resolve business performance gaps. Ability to manage the development of training for government clients.Manages staff, which may include interviewing, job description prep, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.
