  Job Summary  

We are looking for LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (Research Assistant) to our In Vivo team. Position will be hourly paid fixed-term contract in our Kuopio site.  Work could be suitable for students or part-time employees.

 

Duties and responsibilities: Job title: Research Assistant Taking care of daily routines and maintenance of lab animals Moderately complex CNS study techniques by using laboratory animals, e.g. dosing, behavioral tests, tissue samplings and processing and surgical procedures Data collection, documentation and data entry with study specific instructions Ensuring in time all the study specific reagents and materials Preparing the study folders and sheets Other supportive and study related tasks in the department

  Job Qualifications

  Applicable education of training or experience, e.g. technician, laboratory technician, bioanalyst, animal care technician, veterinary technician 1-3 years’ experience with similar kind of work Possibility to work in animal facility Team work skills essential Experience of described skills as lab animal care, dosing and/or behavioral testing etc essential Good computer skills, at least Microsoft Office Written and spoken English is an advantage Active teamwork and communication skills mandatory
