Responsibilities
Champion the overall quality assurance process using continuous improvement and industry-recognized best practices. Lead and motivate the QA team, recognize good talent, and bring the best out of each individual team member. Defines and develops testing strategies to ensure the applications are being released with the highest standards of quality. Creates testing plans, including individual testing phases, and ensures the QA team meets the deadlines set forth in those plans. Enhance the automation testing capabilities of the QA team Establishes metrics of products (applications) and ensures metrics of code quality delivered Ensure that the development team adheres to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined. Work with both the development and product team leads to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed departmental and company quality goals. Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA team. Provide technical expertise in test automation, testing methodologies, testing processes, tools, and techniques across the teams. Have a passion for developing a quality product for our customers. Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate transparently. Very strong problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Requirements
Proven experience leading all facets of QA functions and managing a QA team. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Individuals must have experience working in a fast-paced agile environment providing daily support to multiple competing priorities. Strong leadership skills, including mentoring, team-building, and conflict resolution. 7 Years of QA experience. 2 years leading a team. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools solution like Selenium and modern JavaScript automation frameworks Experience with creating and managing API Integration Testing solution for RESTful services. A good understanding of development builds and deployment procedures using Continuous Integration (CI) Expertise with databases with the ability to write SQL queries Understanding of modern development stacks Experience working with version control tracking systems like Bitbucket Experience working with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins or TeamCity Experience analyzing defects and preparing defect reports and defect metrics, preferably automated Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Strong written, verbal, analytical, attention to details, and communication skills Agile certification is preferred
