This role will be based at our modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links as well as a great working environment and the feel of an innovative technology company. Please note, at present, the role would be performed from home but it would be expected that when the office opens you would be office based.

As the Director, Business Continuity you will work with the GMBA community and Business Units to provide support and guidance in the implementation and operation of the Parexel Informatics Business Continuity Systems. You will ensure all locations and departments have adequate plans in place and that those plans are exercised regularly.

You will collaborate closely with IT to ensure Parexel Informatics disaster recovery planning is effectively integrated to satisfy business continuity requirements, allowing the organization to survive an incident and to continue or resume normal business operations as quickly and efficiently as possible. Additionally, you will also provide leadership and oversight to the Facilities function.

Key Accountabilities:

- Continuity Management - Leads the development and implementation of a continuity management plan. Identifies information and communication systems that support the critical business processes and manages the relationship with specialists with authority for those systems

- Availability Management - Sets policy and develops strategies, plans and processes for the design, monitoring, measurement, maintenance, reporting and continuous improvement of service and component availability, including the development and implementation of new availability techniques and methods.

- Incident Management - Ensures that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures. Investigates escalated incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution.

- Facilities Management - Sets the organisational policy for the management of the IT estate and ensures that policy is reflected using best practice.

- Business Risk Management - Carries out risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business.

- Business Process Improvement - Analyses and designs business processes; identifies alternative solutions to exploit new technologies and automation.

- Relationship Management - Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.

- Performance management - Manages individuals and groups. Allocates responsibilities and/or packages of work, including supervisory responsibilities. Delegates responsibilities as appropriate

- Project Management - Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines).QualificationsEducation:- Educated to degree level (life science, technology, or other related discipline preferred), or other relevant qualification/experience.
