Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary administration.
-Independently handle personnel issues, conflict management, define goals that increase knowledge and skills of staff, and define staff expectations, without involvement of senior managers
-Assist in the coordination of payments on projects and resources, ensuring quality deliverables to both internal/external stakeholders
- Contribute to discussions on implementation of Payments strategy on a regional basis and implement objectives, as appropriate. Ensure staff have a consistent understanding and positive impression of business strategy for regional and global objectives
-May have financial responsibility and accountability for team; responsible for monitoring growth and performance
-Participate in quality or process improvement initiatives development and implementation.
- Assist and contribute to the development of contractual terms for site contracts, aiming to minimize the time to pay sites and drive the contracts/amendments process to enable quicker payments
- Provide advice, support, guidance and training as needed and serve as a mentor to colleagues
-Participate in function and/or corporate initiatives, special project assignments, and as a client or a regional liaison or departmental cross-functional liaison.
-Provide technical expertise and clinical project management experience to for training and process improvement efforts.

In depth knowledge of, and skill in applying, applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good command of English language
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated management skills
- Track record of ability to work through others to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
- Good team leadership skills
- Effective mentoring and training skills

Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field and 13+ years’ clinical research experience including 6 years’ project management/leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
