Study Tech Trainee - Lab Operations

Job Overview:

Study Technician Trainee –Lab Operations Greenfield, IN.

J oin our team working in pre-clinical research studies and we’ll invest in training you in basic histology and necropsy work. Once you are fully trained it’s up you to use those skills to move into future position such as Study Technician Pathology!  Job Responsibilities include but not limited to;

  Supports technical staff by performing laboratory setup, cleaning, organization of tissue inventory and ensuring adequate levels of supplies and providing assistance as necessary. Work will focus on laboratory study setup, study support, prepping labels, cassette and slides for histology an necropsy work Bagging and organizing tissues for pre-archiving process  Will become familiar with self with basic anatomic terms and study protocol language Learns to understand and participates in quality controls and assures corrections of errors  Requires the ability to manage time effectively Must be able to adapt and learned techniques to new situations and procedures Requires  a strong commitment to teamwork and contributes toward a cohesive team environment Requires  maintaining a clean and safe work environment including following all protocol including appropriate use of PPE Facilitates or participates in projects to improve efficiency, quality, safety etc Follows appropriate PPE requirements Must be comfortable working in a pre-clinical (animal) research laboratory setting

Day time work hours Monday-Friday and requires working every 3rd weekend

May have mandatory OT requirements

Extensive training provided! Starting pay rate for candidates that do not have laboratory experience typically $14 per hour with .50 increase at 6 months and fantastic growth opportunities 

 Education/Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required, college courses or associate degree preferred but not required 

Ideal candidate has stable work including a history of being recognized as strong performing as well as taking on additional duties and responsibilities. 

Strong attention to detail as well as history of producing high quality work  Experience:

Prior laboratory and or research work experience preferred but not required
