This job is for a fixed duration not to exceed 12 months, with no guarantee to subsequent employment with the company.The EBP alliance management intern role is an ideal position for college students as it will give insight to “corporate” work life on a global scale. You will have the opportunity to build a foundation of knowledge, and a network of contacts to help you progress your career in the direction you choose. You will learn about clinical trials, documentation requirements, customer service as well as what it’s like to work at a large, global company. You will utilize multiple database and file tracking systems, communicate and interact with many levels of staff (including executives) and you will learn about corporate rewards and recognition as well as governance and operating committees. Networking and building relationships is important to your career. In this role, you will work directly with study teams consisting of team members from various departments and located around the world.  You may also have an opportunity to interact directly with client representatives.Projects vary. Your typical responsibilities and opportunities might include: 
  • Developing, compiling, and presenting information to study teams, and potentially client audiences via teleconference or in face-to-face meetings (for example, key performance indicators and key quality indicators)
  • Serving as a central point of contact for the team for designated project communications, like the rewards and recognition program
  • Updating and maintenance of program SharePoint with key documents
  • Assist in completion of relevant tracking tools, timelines and project status updates/plans with project specific information
  • Preparing, handling, distributing, tracking, maintaining, filing, and archiving clinical documents, reports, and information
  • Attending meetings and documenting the salient points from the group discussion
  • Performing quality audits of study files, documents, and processes and escalating quality problems
  • Contributing to internal brainstorming sessions and collaborating with team members on process improvements
  • Assist with onboarding new team members and participate in the onboarding process
An ideal candidate will have:
  • A strong academic record, excellent problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, strong quantitative skills, and be a proven team contributor
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in progress in the following areas (but not limited to) Biology, Biochemistry, Clinical Research, Healthcare Management and Policy, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Neurosciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and International Relations
  • An interest in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving healthcare industry
  • Good project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral)
  • Exceptional IT literacy e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Transportation to attend local customer meetings and to deliver meeting supplies/documents
