  Job Summary We are seeking a Supervisor for our Building and Facilities Management department site located in Laval (Greater Montreal area) in Canada.

 

This person will assist the Manager, Facilities in managing the different aspects related to the general, electrical, environmental, mechanical, projects and security maintenance of the facility.  He will also ensure the facility is compliant with all relevant regulatory and operational requirements.  Manage technicians under his/her supervision in order to maximize the team performance.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Supervisor : Assist the Manager, Facilities in all activities related to the security, caretaking/maintenance and environment of the site; Ensure the work is performed according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements, when these conditions apply; Ensure the correct application of all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Manage the maintenance software (GMAO) for the site;   Distribute work orders to the technicians;  Maintain the department’s documents and files up to date in compliance with SOPs and internal policies; Ensure the equipment, infrastructures and security systems are maintained and up to date in compliance with the regulatory and operational requirements; Interact with the external contractors and suppliers related to the building operations. 

 

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Supervisor position: Collegial diploma in building mechanical technology or relevant experience;  A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, including personnel and projects management; Excellent knowledge of work-related legislation, principles and procedures; Reading of English is required. Bilingualism is preferable; Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work with time constraints and adapt to change; Ability to work in a team; Meticulous attention to details; Ability to efficiently manage time, personnel and resources; Demonstrate leadership;
