Business Manager – Middle East and GCC

Join a fast- growing company - dedicated to improving patient safety and determined to advance single-use devices. Our partner company develops, produces and sells medical devices that enable doctors and nurses to save lives on a daily basis. As our new Business Development Manager your overall goal is to manage the sales and substantially build the business / product portfolio in the Middle East and G.C.C. Region.

The current go-to-market model is primarily through distributors, and the geographies include but is not limited to: - Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain. The business has enjoyed strong growth through the last decade which will continue with our impressive pipeline of innovation. You will be located within the Territory and will be working from a home office. The Indirect markets team consists of four Business Development Managers and the Director. The role will liaise with many internal stakeholders and support members including marketing, customer service and product training specialists located at HQ in Denmark.

Your main responsibilities include:
• Sales responsibility for full product range within the region.
• Co-operate with and manage distribution network to implement sales and marketing strategy.
• Identify, select and train distributors and work cross functionally to ensure training of distributors and end users, cultivation of KOL’s and to gather market knowledge.
• Develop existing accounts, realising the business potential.
• Exploit the potential for new business that will involve appointing and motivating distributors, targeted at key customer segments.
• Provide data and reports to the Director for Distributor Markets as and when requested
• Forecast and update CRM programmes as required
• Actively promote new products.
• Develop and implement sales strategy.
• Build the GI and Urology business from the foundations, demonstrating exceptional growth.
• Be an ambassador for IQVIA and our partner company.


Your Background
You are an accomplished international sales professional who can drive growth and who wants to stand out for their achievements. You have a proven track record of building a distributor-based business, ideally with knowledge of the Middle East market. With strong negotiation skills, you are experienced setting up as well as exiting contracts and be skilled at managing and motivating distributors.

• Possess strong business acumen with analytical and organisational skills, as well as the ability to prioritise.
• Outstanding relationship building and interpersonal capabilities with a track record of managing and supporting distributors with a view to drive sales.
• Cultural win mindset and hunger for success, aiming to achieving results year on year.
• Experienced working cross functionally with a degree of cultural sensitivity.
• A collaborative team player who cultivates a team spirit, respects other people’s ideas and understands how to gain agreement and acceptance for new initiatives throughout the organisation.
• Well- developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills together with strong influencing skills to drive change and achieve alignment.
• Comfortable with having to adjust to changes in work environment, work under pressure with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines. Adept at prioritising work and coordinating tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate, organised and structured, but also flexible approached to problem solving creatively, analytically and systematically to reach optimal solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in business English is required, other language skills, particularly those applied in the countries in scope are desirable.
• University Degree in Business related discipline.

To be successful in the role, it is important that you are good at communicating across all levels of the organisation. You have the ability to develop strong relationships with all functional areas, and you are comfortable doing this virtually, when travel is not feasible. You like to work independently and are driven by our values of results with speed, collaboration and integrity. The main growth will come from products in Visualization/Endoscopes, including new spaces we have and are launching into including Urology and Gastro – experience in these sectors is a distinct advantage. You are fluent in English and any other languages are an advantage.
