We are </span>seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join its molecular clinical laboratory. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the production of medical diagnostic testing in a clinical laboratory. The CLS will ensure that complex molecular diagnostic assays and systems are performed under appropriate compliance and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also independently perform clinical lab testing and other scientific examinations and record appropriate test documentations and evaluate test results.</p> <p>The shift for this position will be Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m.</p> <p>Location: 3595 John Hopkins Court, San Diego, CA 92121</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Calculate results using testing data with both manual and computerized procedures</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span><span style="color: black;">Utilize a wide array of instrumentation, including Hamilton, Zephyr, and next generation sequencers Illumina HiSEQ, performing quality control, </span>troubleshooting, <span style="color: black;">and calibrations, </span>in accordance with applicable policies and procedures</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Accurately enter results of testing.
