We are seeking a Software Frontend Engineer II, System Integration for our Microbial Solutions site located in Charleston, SC.

 

The Front End Developer is responsible for transforming the design and the product vision into working products and will directly influence how users will interact with the system. This position will work with product managers to create interface designs, implement them using modren UI frameworks, and iterate and improve on them throughout the life of the project. They will also work with the software team to integrate the UI with backend components to create robust solutions. They will participate in and contribute to developing the CI/CD process and DevOps environment for the software team.

 

The following are the job duties & responsibilities related to the Software Frontend Engineer II: Develop and maintain both desktop and web-based user interfaces. Analyze requirements and give feedback to product managers Create automated unit tests and document any developer testing that is done. Troubleshoot software issues reported from the field to find root causes and solutions Deeply understand customer needs and take full ownership of the product Proactively look to opportunities for improvement in process and tools used for development

  Job Qualifications  

The following are the minimum qualifications related to the Software Frontend Engineer II:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering skillset and work experience in Software Engineering

 

Experience: 3-5 years of experience creating user interfaces professionally using Angular, React, Blazor, Node.js with deeper understanding of web architectures Experience in unit testing with dry data and UI prototypes preferred Experience working on a software development team and launching software products. Experience working with modern UI frameworks

 

Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with Git source control, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Vericode, and Visual Studio. C# programming experience Front end web development experience (Angular, React, Blazor, Node.js) Front end application development experience (WPF, WinForms, Qt) Some additional programming abilities (VB.Net, C++, Python, JavaScript) is preferred. Great debugging skills, able jump into code to debug production issues Familiarity with Windows Installers and InstallShield
