An essential member of the larger production team, responsible for mechanical assembly, rework, documentation and installation of software.  Reports to the production manager, receives direction from the production manager, production engineer, and general production coordination direction from the Instrument Release and Production Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified. Mechanically assemble and disassemble new and existing equipment Receive, sort, inspect and stock components in a warehouse area Identify and report defects, including potential defects to aid in product improvement Operate hand and power tools such as torque drivers, screw drivers, wire cutters and other tools for instrument assembly Perform rework including but not limited to soldering, crimping, separating, cutting etc. Read and understand CAD drawings, BOM etc. Assist in: Perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures. Production process development Continuous improvement Product improvements Manufacturing processes Testing processes Perform SAP operations to facilitate the processing of components and instruments Work with PLM system and work instructions Perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures. Proficient in all SOPs in areas of responsibility Perform all other related duties as assigned. Responsible for adhering to all documentation as required by company policy, cGMP and FDA. Cross train as required for all other roles within the department Periodically assist in those roles with direction as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) Experience:  Experience working in ESD and production of electronic assemblies is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT: General production working conditions, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
