In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Metrology Technologist for our Microbial Solutions site located in Charleston, SC.  

Perform preventative maintenance and calibration activities with supervision. Assist with validation and re-qualification efforts.

The following are the duties & responsibilities related to the Metrology Technologist: 

•    Post and close all work orders that are associated with the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program according to schedule.

•    Perform PM activities on the appropriate equipment according to schedule. 

•    Post and close all work orders that are associated with the Calibration program according to schedule.   

•    Matches all work orders to calibration sheets.

•    Maintain equipment files.

•    Tag all new equipment and enter into the computer tracking system.

•    Assist in validation/re-qualification studies.

•    Responsible for proficiency in all SOPs in areas of responsibility.  Responsible for documentation as required by company policy, cGMP and FDA.

•    Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications The following are the minimum qualifications related to the Metrology Technologist: 

•    Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).

•    Experience: Zero to twelve months related experience in and/or training a GMP manufacturing environment.

•    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

•    Certification/Licensure: None.

•    Other: On-the-job training provided for specific tasks.
