In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary Functions as Principal Investigator(PI)/Individual Scientist(IS). Oversee procedures and quality of ocular image capture using modalities such as cSLO, angiography and SD-OCT. Update and manage Standard Operating Procedures associated with imagery procedures. Train and support technical staff involved in obtaining ocular images to ensure high quality images for assessment and interpretation. Recognizes gaps and opportunities for improvements by keeping current with “State of the Art” techniques/procedures and assist in effectively transferring this information to and/or provides training to build intellectual capital within the corporation. Share knowledge with Study Directors involved in studies with ocular imagery. Establish standard recording of image analysis. Work in collaboration with technical operation teams, Director and Study Directors of Ocular and Neurosciences department as well as study Ophthalmologist. Analyze and provide scientific interpretation of images as a comprehensive contributing scientist report for inclusion into in vivo study report Expand knowledge as required to master other modalities, ocular endpoints (eg. tonometry) and aspects of electrophysiology relevant to ocular assessments (eg. ERGs) Effectively communicates with internal and external clients in a manner that generates confidence and builds trust.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s (MA/MSc Doctorate (PhD), PharmD, DVM, or MD degree or equivalent in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline. Experience: Generally > 10 years related industry experience with well-developed skills in understanding imaging modalities and able to perform scientific interpretation of observations within context of study objectives. Knowledge of multispecies ocular anatomy An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: Ophthalmic Imaging Certification is considered to be an asset
