Principal IT Desktop Engineer

Parexel is hiring a Principal IT Desktop Engineer in Durham, NC to lead and provide technical and project management of new desktop solutions.

Key Accountabilities:IT Technical Consulting- Provide consultation and prepare & deliver key presentations to IT management on the IT Operations technology environmentOptimization- Develop advanced methodologies to optimize IT OperationsRoadmap/Portfolio- Supervise and provide technology roadmap for IT Operations systems and applications portfolioExecute strategic plans- Work closely with IT Management to tactically execute strategic plansNew Desktop Solutions- Lead and provide technical and project management of new desktop solutionsMaintain standards- Centrally maintain workstation standards e.g. software, internet browser and OS settings through Active Directory Group Policy and other toolsProvide Maintenance and Support of Middleware, Mobility and Workstation Applications (e.g. – Imaging, MDM, PKI, Antivirus, Software Distribution, Single Sign-On, Hard Disk Encryption, and others).Provide thorough technical support to all Parexel locations either remotely or onsite.Work with other IT groups such as Infrastructure, Applications and Site Services staff to promote standardization and validation of computing environments.Identify operational problems, root cause analysis and manage improvements, documenting methods of troubleshooting and correction for future use. Contribute to the improvement of system performance and reliability.Maintain standardization of computing environments.
