About the Department:

Global HR Compliance CoE (Center of Excellence) is responsible for governance and oversight for defining and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure that employment and work practices demonstrate a thorough understanding of laws and regulations and are aligned to HR governance models, philosophies and larger HR objectives.

In the HR Compliance Program Leadrole, you will manage assigned HR compliance and governance programs and employment documents focused on regulatory compliance and alignment with PPD HR philosophies, objectives, and strategic priorities. Job Description: Serves a HR compliance program specialist and subject matter expert for assigned areas. Develop and maintain relationships with other CoE program managers and HR shared services team to ensure effective process governance practices for HR. Develops deep knowledge of PPD's HR policies and processes. Develops a framework for identification and tracking of all HR compliance related requirements, in collaboration with CoEs, across all functional areas of HR. Responsible for coordination of HR governance models. Conduct research and partner with global team associates to prioritize and understand HR compliance requirements worldwide and the effect that they have on our business. Develops and maintains a knowledge base for capturing and disseminating legal guidance on HR topics. Developing, drafting, and maintaining employment contracts and documents. Vendor management for HR Compliance program vendors. Consult with policy, process, and system owners to ensure that sound protocols are in place to mitigate employment related risks. Identify emerging risks, gaps in risk management, and inefficient or outdated company policies. Coordinates HR Compliance due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and entity integrations. Audits, in partnership with HR CoEs and Shared Services teams, HR process, practices, and policies when necessary to identify compliance issues and develop corrective actions. Stay knowledgeable on regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in HR compliance. Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate Draft written narratives to communicate obligations, risk analyses, and recommendations to HR policy, process, and system owners and senior stakeholders. Consult on supporting documentation such as manager and employee communications, FAQs, and standard operating processes. Gather and analyze employment law to support the translation into PPD policies, practices, and processes. Partner with global team members to create and implement solutions that are compliant, scalable, and in alignment with PPD’s business practices and culture Work on complex, sensitive matters to assess risk and recommend the right course of action

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of HR compliance models and best practices globally. Additionally, the candidate will have demonstrated experience implementing, managing, and maintaining HR compliance related programs on a global scale and driving a culture of compliance within HR.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Previous HR compliance experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Previous experience working within HR departments on complex compliance programs and initiative in a high performance organization Ability to operate within a matrixed organization Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, and fast-paced environment Adaptability and knowledge of HR systems and tools, such as Oracle, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, etc. Proven experience with and understanding of US employment law and regulations (global knowledge a plus) Experience working with legal departments or attorneys a plus Ability to oversee compliance initiatives from inception to execution and auditing Capability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing shifting demands based on business needs Ability to interpret data and metrics into actionable insights. Reliable team player, accountable for delivering results and ready to help the team Proven analytical capabilities; experience with large amounts of data and in developing audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms Certified compliance professional is a plus
