  Job Summary

The Salesforce.com Technical Architect is responsible for working on full lifecycle engineering efforts using Agile methodologies, object-oriented design, and accepted design practices and patterns. This role will work closely with other technical engineers, collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to develop, support, and enhance our Salesforce instance. Candidates will help establish a Salesforce architecture vision and strategy that is scalable and enables business objectives. This includes working collaboratively with product owners to drive design choices and recommend, develop and implement technical solutions as well as providing technical expertise to other development teams. He/She will provide technical thought leadership for the Salesforce platform, and collaborate across teams to solve complex design issues, avoid technical debt, drive agile practices, and implement architecture best practices.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Defines architectural practices and guidelines for the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apttus Conga CPQ and CLM, Einstein, Pardot, etc.

• Delivers technical designs that meet project requirements, while maintaining consistency with the Enterprise Architecture guidelines

• Utilize best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform

• Perform configuration and customization of the Salesforce.com platform.

• Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training and documentation

• Collaborates with product owners as a Salesforce expert, present options, and helps build full solutions to meet business needs

• Has an expert understanding of Salesforce.com standard applications, web application development, Salesforce integration, and tools such as the Salesforce APIs, Apex, Lightning and the AppExchange that are used to extend the standard product set

• Integration knowledge with SAP

• Knowledge in the Analytics space – example Microsoft Azure tool set, Power BI…

• Leads technical discovery sessions, writes technical architecture documents, and leads integration design

• Has a solid business understanding and is able to translate business process flows into technical use cases

• Perform technical solution reviews and provide recommendations to improve adoption and usage

• Identifies and mitigates technical risks across the architecture

• Works with Data Management Org to incorporate data standards, data mastering and management processes, and other data related requirements into architecture planning and solution design

• Helps set product vision and lead road mapping activities

• Documents design decisions, process and data flows for the development team

• Acts as a mentor/advisor to SFDC Platform team Developers, Admins, and Analysts

• Ensure adherence to CRL standards and compliance with regulatory bodies are maintained (FDA, ISO, PCI, SOX, HIPPA, US, EU)

• Contribute to building a high-performance team

• Perform all other related duties as assigned Job Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Certifications: Salesforce Application/Developer, and Architect certifications preferred

Experience: Minimum of 3 years working as a Salesforce Solution Architect. 10+ years of experience working with the Salesforce platform

Other:

• Salesforce.com Certified Developer Certification desired

• Have experience with multiple salesforce implementations

• Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development

• Experience and expertise in core web technologies including HTML5, Javascript and jQuery

• Software engineering skills with Force.com Platform (Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, Unit Testing)

• Software engineering skills with Java SE & EE (Java, JSF, SQL) preferred

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, data mastering and ETL tools.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as XP/SCRUM

• Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)

• A desire to work with the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies (Force.com Platform,, Visual Studio, object relational (O/R) mapping, Azure Integrations, MuleSoft)

• Experience with test automation and continuous integration technologies, the Salesforce.com deployment process, and source control

• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills at all levels

• Effectively communicate and make technical information consumable to large, multi-national audiences

• Excellent business acumen and communication skills

• Have proven emotional intelligence (EQ) and relationship building skills

• Be able to conceptualize and develop impartial alternative solution approaches, articulating the benefits and tradeoffs of each.

• Experience building Technology roadmaps

• Experience working in an Agile/ product and platform centric operating model
