Acts as liaison with internal and external stakeholders in the provision and marketing of departmentservices. Builds and maintains client relationships. Collaborates with senior leadership and executive staffon strategic planning and business development. Oversees department project and process improvementstrategy utilizing metrics and key performance indicators to manage performance and end results.Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations.

Essential functions:Accountable for functional management of teams to ensure successful executionof all department deliverables within assigned projects.Responsible for liaising externally with clients and internally with otherdepartments. Provides troubleshooting and advice on issues as needed.Ensures that the department maintains accurate and timely processing of cross-bordermaterials movement.Assists senior management with business development efforts to ensure thesecuring of new business by making presentations to sponsors, developing andreviewing bids and proposals, and conducting contract negotiations through toclosure with the sponsor.Participates in global and/or cross-functional initiatives and improvementprojects.Contributes to the hiring, development and implementation of global, regionaland local functions and plans.Ensures staff is trained according to company policies and procedures.Wonderful opportunity to join PPD's global clinical supplies team, in a key client oversight role!

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
