Charles River is looking for an Operations/Program Specialist to join our Global Talent Management team! The Operations/Program Specialist will play a critical role leading the operational aspects of the Global Talent Management (GTM).

Working closely with the members of the People & Culture team, the Global Learning & Development (L&D) team as well as business leaders and colleagues, to support the creation, coordination, communication, delivery and sustainability of multi-national, multi-business programs and initiatives that enhance Charles River’s employee experience and growth of organizational capabilities. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Coordinate, track, create reports and dashboards on GTM and Leadership Development program metrics, completions, utilization, feedback, and results utilizing a variety of platforms, tools, and applications (ie. MS Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI, SAP SuccessFactors, Totara Learn, content platforms, etc.)

•    Manage GTM related inboxes, triage and ensure timely correspondence on questions and requests about registration, processes, workshops, programs, etc.

•    Coordinate and track external vendor contract approvals, purchase orders, invoicing and spending and liaise with the Charles River procurement and finance teams.

•    Design and implement a mix of creative, innovative, and proactive communications and campaigns to support the team’s initiatives and programs.

•    Review, proof-read, update, organize and coordinate translation of learning content, job aids/guides, intranet pages, MS Teams, communications, etc.

•    Collaborate with the team, internal clients and external partners on the development, design, and deployment of GTM-sponsored programs including leadership development, talent management cycle, employee engagement, etc.

•    Act as a producer and co-facilitator for workshops, discussion groups, meetings, focus groups, etc.

•    Document processes and suggest optimizations.

•    Escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

•    Passion for learning and development. Knowledge of the trends in L&D, adult learning and learning technologies. Willing to embrace and open to all types of formal and informal learning experiences.

•    Proven ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple activities while maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to detail in a complex and fast paced environment

•    Ability to work in a constantly changing and flexible environment while maintaining strong relationships with teammates and stakeholders

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to convey engaging, clear, and concise messages to target audiences in a variety of mediums.

•    Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, and efficient, with a strong attention to detail. 

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms, etc.) and data analysis/dashboarding tools.

•    Experience working with the SAP SuccessFactors platform (including the Learning Management System) preferred or other Human Capital Solutions.

•    Able to work with and maintain confidential information 

  Job Qualifications •    Bachelor’s Degree - degrees in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or similar strongly preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

•    2-3 years of experience with coordinating, building, and deploying large scale projects, ideally training, learning and development initiatives. 

•    Experience in a global, multi-site organization. Understanding of life science industry and/or regulated environments (preferred).
