  Job Summary  

We are seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology for our Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility located in Memphis, TN.

 

The Manager of Manufacturing Sciences will be a senior member of a cross functional team providing technical leadership for new and existing client manufacturing. The Manufacturing Sciences Manager serves as a technical point of contact to support technology transfer activities to the Memphis Manufacturing Facility.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Manager, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology position:

  Leading a team of associates responsible for all aspects of product transfer from the process establishment stage to commercial Good manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) production. Responsible for ensuring that project objectives are achieved. Responsible for ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded, and timelines are adhered to. Responsible for reviewing and analyzing data, designing additional experiments, and writing reports. This position will ensure a cohesive, integrated manufacturing environment and ensure that the transfer of technology is thorough and well-coordinated. Responsible for the development and delivery of training materials to ensure that the operational, scientific, and analytical training of all employees involved with new processes/clients. Responsible for liaison with the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Project Management, Facilities, and other GMP units. This position will lead technology transfer by collaborating with clients and internal departments on establishing new robust and cost-efficient manufacturing needed for clinical and commercial manufacturing. May provide technical data or impact assessments for Deviations, CAPAs, or Change Control records. Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Manager, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology position:

  BS with 6 - 8 years/ MS with 3 - 4 years/ PhD with 3 - 4 years of relevant experience. Leadership experience is highly desired. Advanced knowledge of cGMP, clean room manufacturing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Detail oriented with good organizational skills. Must possess effective written and oral communication skills. Must display a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Must demonstrate initiative to remain apprised of relevant industry and regulatory trends. Project management and planning experience a plus. Experience working with external clients and vendors a plus.
