·         Business Partner to ICON's Core Service areas IBT, IPS, IDCS and other areas of the business if needed.

·         Advising on relevant laws, national guidelines, codes and best practices in relation to data protection.

·         Monitoring compliance with policy and procedures as required

·         Undertaking and advising on privacy impact assessments on new services, technology and processes with the assistance of ICON QA, IT Security, Clinical Operations and/or Internal Audit e.g. new technologies, applications and businesses.

·         Advising on international transfers of personal data.

·         Helping build and manage the Global ICON Privacy Program e.g. designing, implementing and adopting procedures, privacy tools and privacy strategy development.

·         Advising ICON entities including staff on their obligations in relation to regulatory obligations and monitoring compliance with regulations.

·         Advising on and drafting data protection contractual provisions in agreements with clients, vendors and sites as well as on terms and conditions for use of ICON products and services.

·         Preparing and delivering training to staff.

·         Advising in relation to data/security incidents/breaches and management of both clinical data (ICON as data processor) and other data where ICON acts as data controller.

·         Advising on specific data protection aspects of ICON corporate and commercial initiatives including vendor selection.

·         Assist in responding to data protection breaches and incidents

·         Staying current with global privacy laws and practices.

·         Maintaining records of processing activities.

·         Support interactions with supervisory and regulatory authorities on issues related to the processing of personal data as requested by DPO.

·         Any other tasks as appropriate.

You will need:• Law degree.• 2 - 4 years of experience• Excellent attention to detail.• Large law firm or corporate plc or pharmaceutical/CRO/biotech industry experience, a plus.• Ability to manage a high volume of work• Ambition to progress to management role within ICON legal team over time.• Possess excellent organizational ability.• Great teammate and relationship builder with strong intrapersonal, communication, organization and time management skills.Benefits of Working in ICON:
