Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Coordinator 1for our Discovery site located in Worcester, MA.

The individual in this position will be responsible for managing biological samples and reference standards within the Sample Management group. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of people as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to team work, quality and professionalism is essential.

Job duties and responsibilities for this position include: Receipt and accessioning biological samples and reference standards, Sample storage, Data-entry into Nestsuite ;Assisting with coordination of delivery and return of samples and reference standards to sponsors ;setting up courier and FedEx shipments ;Communication of sample receipt problems to the responsible Principle Investigator, Perform all tasks in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice regulations (GLPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other duties as assigned.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Laboratory Coordinator 1position. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. 1-2 years’ experience in a Life Science Laboratory Ability to work effectively as a member of a team Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (such as Word, Excel) Ability to interact with others in a calm and professional manner Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing Ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting timelines.
