Senior Financial Systems Analyst

Parexel has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our team. The role is a key reporting and business process improvement role in the corporate team involved in developing, streamlining and providing insights into processes, systems and reporting tools. Must have clear understanding of end to end business processes and functionalities associated with financial and reporting applications (e.g. Oracle Costing & Billing, AP, GL, PO and Fixed Assets, Hyperion, Dashboarding tools etc.). Additionally, responsible for documenting functional requirements, be able to develop test cases, perform system level testing & compare actual results with expected and provide support to end users. Requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and IT development to drive and prioritize key enhancements and projects to support business needs. This highly visible role is a techno-functional role with an aptitude to understand business and system flows to effectively support the customer needs.

• Manage the development, design, and implementation of the financial applications, upgrades, interfaces, and other enhancements from a functional perspective Works closely with Business, Corporate IT and implementation teams in supporting rollout of key finance projects.

• Work closely with development and ensure all the reporting systems and dashboards are maintained and upgraded with the new functionality/solutions rolled out.

• Understand the data flow across all IT systems, both financial and non-financial data. Have the ability to validate system and data integrity and serve as a systems functional expert.

• Develop relationships across finance and through the organization, to understand and anticipate information and reporting needs

• Strong analytical skills and have the ability to understand and reconcile projects within PA system. Understands the life cycle of the project.

• Provide support to and assist with the training of end-users as required to ensure productive and efficient utilization of the Financial applications

• Challenges and develops standards processes and implements a lean culture across the organization

• Develop and prepare applications implementation documentation, test plans & roadmapsQualificationsQualified candidates will possess:

Bachelors’ degree required, preferable in Finance, IT or related field

• Strong expertise in supporting multiple Oracle Financials modules such as: GL, AR, AP, iProcurement, FA or PA

• Working Knowledge of Hyperion applications, Spotfire and other dashboarding applications

• Should be able to manage high data volumes and have high data analytics skills.

• Hands on experience in programming languages like SQL/Java or Python is desirable
