We have a new vacancy in our PPDBiotech Team for SeniorDirector, Development Operations. This can be based in the EMEA region.

Overview

Provides strategic direction across all therapeutic areas and other divisions and business units across PPD to ensure compliance and consistent delivery of the strategic partnership model (operations, quality andfinancial standards). Collaborates and influences functional leads and other key internal stakeholders on operational and strategic priorities to promote collaboration and creativity to achieve the partnershipgoals. Monitors and influences internal operations to minimize potential for risk and maximize client satisfaction. Responsible for achieving for overall partnership financial and operational goals as assigned.Collaborates with leadership in all functional areas to develop and improvement of partnership processes. Works with Business Development to secure new business through the delivery of client presentationsand proposal development. Works with other assigned Development Operations Leads on the PPD Strategic Partnerships. May be responsible to evaluate, co-develop and/or implement client specificpartnership business processes, inclusive of partnership change management.. Communicates partnership expectations, applicable corporate goals, key clientspecific updates, Master Service Agreement(s) (MSAs) terms and client-specificrules of engagement as it relates to overall program, project or service-level delivery.

Key responsibilities: Creates, compile and manages operational, quality and financial standards buy utilizing systems, tools and reports to identify trends in risks and/or issues (i.e.key performance indicators for, key quality indicators, key relationship indicators,etc.) that present opportunities to leverage risk mitigation or PPD solutionsacross the portfolio and/or a single study/contract. Ensure timely and thorough follow-up to actions identified at Partnership Level,such as but not limited to, PPD Quality Risk Management process (summarizedat EQR), client or joint client/PPD Quality Counsels, governance meetings, etc.. Partners with cross functional leadership on the continuous development andimprovement of business processes to support teams and to ensure that work isuniform, complete and managed appropriately. Develops excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and leadersresponsible for the delivery of projects and services to improve informationexchange, project delivery, and understanding between groups. Ensurescoordination across geographies, therapeutic areas and functions and achievesuperior delivery of projects and services. Assist Business Development team to enable business expansion of the portfolio(e.g. bid defenses and capability meetings). Serves as a customer's operations point of contact, and escalation supportperson for operational issues/discussions. Communicates with sponsors regularlyto identify potential problem areas and acts quickly to remove the risk/resolvethe issue. May represents Operations at the governance level and contributes to thecompilation of goals and business plan objectives for the strategic partnership

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 15 years). 7 years of management responsibility Advanced leadership skills

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, trainingand/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet therequirements of the role.
