The Role:

This is a key role in the Corporate Reporting Team responsible to support our external reporting to the market. The senior finance manager plays a key role in the monthly consolidation process, quarterly and annual filings and has an on-going role in supporting the wider finance teams in ensuring preparation and appropriate review of accounting standard updates, accounting for once-off transactions and events and working with legal, co sec, taxation, treasury, commercial finance and other cross functional teams. This individual should ideally have experience with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX and PCAOB requirements. This individual should have strong accounting technical skills and experience, good report writing and presentation skills and strong project management skills. The individual should also have experience working with a multinational corporate group and an understanding of what it takes to prepare accurate consolidated results in a timely fashion. The role will initially help to cover a team member's maternity leave but, given the transformative acquisition scheduled to be completed in 2021, is expected to expand into additional projects and opportunities.This individual plays a key role in the Corporate Reporting Team in the monthly and quarterly preparation of the consolidated group numbersThey will work as part of a cohesive team of finance professionals and will need to able to support the achievement of the team's goals while managing individual responsibilitiesThe individual will lead in the co-ordination and preparation key group external filings (6K, 20F and IFRS accounts)They will provide support the analysis with the monthly and quarterly consolidated numbers which accurately depict financial performance of the groupThe individual will support the acquisition completion and integration activities of the large transformative acquisition recently announced by ICONThey will be responsible for specific complex corporate entities within the Group and will be charged with keeping high quality financial control over those entitiesThey will support the Group's SOX and PCAOB preparedness through the completion and documentation of monthly/quarterly financial controls over their responsible areasThis individual will be proficient and comfortable in accounting technical research and interpretation across US GAAP and IFRSThe individual should be a self-starter, a strong communicator and a proven project managerThey should have good report writing and presentation skillsThey will be involved in regularly communications with the Group's external auditors and accounting advisors and should be comfortable in leading conversations on accounting mattersFoster close working relationship within the Corporate Reporting Team and other group teams (general ledger finance, finance business partners, taxation, treasury and legal teams) in identifying, analyzing and communicating accounting issues from new transactions or other activitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to develop & continually improve processes & systems for both financial and statutory reportingDrivie project related activity on changes in group structure and in providing ad hoc accounting technical and commercial support across the wider finance teamsRecognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.The individual is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.The individual is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.

What you will need: An experienced high performing ACA, ACCA with minimum 8 years PQEExperience working with a multinational corporate group and the completion of consolidated group accountsFully conversant with 'best practice' in accounting standards across multiple GAAPs, possessing a superior track record of technical financial and regulatory managementSuperior business analytic skills to understand what is going on behind the numbers and an ability to both critically analyse and clearly articulate the rationale for variances.Experienced in a range of finance disciplines including e.g. US GAAP and IFRS, SOX compliance, best practice reporting, taxation, and treasury.An ability to identify and lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of projects systems, initiatives and processes.An ability to identify areas for improvement and best in class practiceA confident, decisive person with strong interpersonal skillsAn accomplished professional who is tenacious and determined
