IQVIA are seeking an IT Site Support Engineer 1 to join our team based in Switzerland (Risch-Rotkreuz) Permanent role - office based. Part-Time hours (50-100% ).

The role:

Using remote control tools or hands-on solve Tier 2 tickets or tickets passed to local Site Support queue by the Service Desk for the Switzerland office.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Service Desk and IT Operations Procedures related to IT End User Platform Support & available tools and client/business applications & of the day-to-day operating environment.
  • Provide assistance in the areas of Site Support and project specific assignments
  • Support global projects deployment.
  • Build computers using IQVIA image and in accordance with IQVIA Work Instructions.
  • Maintain proper asset management according to IQVIA standard in global IT Asset Management tools/systems (ITAM, Service Now CMDB).
  • Provide support for business applications which need to be resolved locally.
  • Provide training to end-users in standard Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Escalate more complex problems to the Senior IT/IT Director or reassign tickets in Service Now to the appropriate Support Teams.
  • Perform other IT duties per Manager request.

You will have:

  • Ideally have worked within an IT remote support role previously.
  • Proven ability to learn and apply new technology.
  • Knowledge of Windows & Apple OS administration - Primarily Windows 7 (and ideally Windows 10)
  • Have successfully executed deployments, upgrades and new installations of hardware and software.
  • You will be professional, flexible and well organised as well as having excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with customers of various levels and technical knowledge.
  • You must be fluent in English and German
