Associate Director, Site Contracts - EMEA

The Associate Director, Site Contracts, oversees the preparation, negotiation and finalization of the templates, process and negotiation parameters and oversight of associated investigator grant budget(s), associate payment schedule terms and conditions with an assigned workload of clients. The liaises and establishes effective relationships with clients and internal functional teams. Ensures quality, objectivity and risk analysis in the efficient delivery of templates, process and negotiation parameters. Leads global training plans and initiatives.

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime.

• Oversee a high performing team potentially located in all regions and responsible for day to day customer deliverables and satisfaction.

• Regional or multi-regional oversight and ownership of team deliverables.

• Act as escalation point for regional or multi-regional contractual or budgetary related issues.

• Ensure an effective alignment of related cross-functional teams to established contractual considerations, processes and parameters and overall site activation targets.

• Negotiate within approved parameters investigator grant budget negotiation parameters, contractual terms and conditions in accordance with contractual considerations, client contractual considerations and established process with clients and follows established escalation routes.

• Lead and ensure regional and global training plans and needs related to Investigator Contracts.

• Act as global contract expert for established Key Client Accounts and ensures contract team adherence to client processes inclusive of a strategic approach to managing the assigned portfolio and accelerating site activation cycle times.

• Achieve target cycle times for site activations within assigned portfolio.

• Act as global representative or lead for internal and external process improvement initiatives.

• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10 years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.

• 5 years of management responsibility

• Proven leadership skills

• In-depth of knowledge of investigator contracting across multiple geographical regions

• Skilled in managing/leading teams

• Strategic thinking, planning and organization skills Ability to analyze data, anticipate and mitigate risk, exercise sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making working under pressure and at times with limited desired information

• Ability to effectively promote ideas and proposals to shape stakeholder opinions

• Demonstrates the ability to develop and cultivate strong internal/external networks of contacts and resources to help ensure contract execution

• Demonstrated solid interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills

• Ability to motivate managers and teams to define and reach team objectives

• Excellent financial acumen
