The Chief Compliance Officer/ General Counsel for Parexel Informatics will be responsible for all legal, quality and risk aspects including making sure that the company strictly follows law guidelines and gives advice to the Leadership Team about all relevant issues in the business. You will ensure that the company operates within the law and regulatory polices at all times.

In this role you will be able to ensure legal, quality standards and compliance, limit risk exposure and input to business strategy development and implementation. The individual will oversee and manage the provision of all legal services to the institution to ensure maximum protection of its legal rights and to maintain its operations within the limits prescribed by law. The Chief Compliance Officer/ General Counsel provides strategic guidance, consultation, and support to senior managers.

Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and lead legal, quality and compliance strategy to promote and protect the company's mattersDeveloping and leading internal audit and corporate compliance programsOverseeing delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and prioritiesMaintaining proper corporate interactions with the relevant local, state and governmental bodies, legislatures and the community at largeAdvising the EVP and other senior corporate officers on a variety of issues, providing options and pragmatic recommendationsParticipating in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the executive management teamProvide expert and strategic legal advice to management. Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factorsEvaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of actionAnticipate issues and estimate risks strategicallyDirectly, or through competent staff, provide key liaison during Regulatory Agency inspections or Sponsor Audits of Parexel facilities. Provide suitable assistance to internal departments and to clients in preparing for Regulatory Agency inspections of non Parexel facilities. Supports Parexel staff in the preparation of suitable written responses to Regulatory Inspections or Sponsor Audit reports. Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risksBase your decision-making process on ethics and integrityDraft agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rightsKeep abreast of legislative changesProviding expert and strategic legal advice to managementSetting internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factorsEvaluating and weighing multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of actionDeliver on our Regulatory Compliance workOversee and manage the department budget making decisions about what level of service to use or what services to provide in-houseManage the output of external suppliers of services for the departmentSupport the Leadership Team in all legal, quality and compliance issuesDeal with relevant external parties (regulators, external counsels, suppliers, clients)Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal, quality, compliance and related areas Create strong and trusting stakeholder relationshipsEstablishing a curriculum to educate employees on legal matters and litigating on behalf of the companyManage the overall Parexel Informatics risk register and work with other functions to reduce risk exposureEstablish a pro-active quality by design approach as well and robust QC/QA methodologiesAttract, develop, direct, motivate and drive performance from your team

Skills

Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a global legal office.

Proven general legal counseling experience in a business environment

Some experience of quality and compliance

Ideally experience of working in life sciences

Proven track record of successful implementation of the legal strategy

Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a global legal office.

Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.

Ability to provide competent legal advice and counsel to the Leadership Team on a wide range of legal and policy issues

Knowledge of the range of applicable laws and regulations which impact on all facets of operations.
