This role will be based at our modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links as well as a great working environment and the feel of an innovative technology company. In the immediate future the role will be homebased due to the current pandemic.As the the Associate Project Director, you will provide senior level tactical management, sponsor management and leadership to the project management team in order to ensure that project proceeds on time and within budget. This requires extensive people leadership skills as well as influencing skills using your own network within Parexel and Client organizations, project management skills, business understanding, knowledge, and experience in order to independently make effective decisions and act.

You will provide overall leadership of large and complex imaging trials or imaging programs to internal teams and sponsors to achieve operational excellence. You will take on various roles, dependent on requirements. This may include line management; account management; and/or billable project director responsibilities. You will also provide the sponsor with timely project status information and serve as the key operational interface between the sponsor and Medical Imaging.

Key Accountabilities:

Line Management

- Leading, developing and managing people

- Provide leadership to help people perform at their best, through motivating and developing them to achieve high performance by exhibiting Parexel values.

Project Leadership

- Provide project leadership oversight to drive overall study deliverables in alignment with budget, first time quality, deliverables and customer satisfaction. Identify appropriate Project Manager resource and assign to the project.

- Support Project with complex protocols, 3rd party vendors, reviewer group, and potentially large global projects.

Portfolio Management

- Provide portfolio level oversight - Responsible for supporting and maintaining client relationship oversight as needed, with minimal supervision by Line Manager or CDU Head.

- Resolve issues in collaboration with the client and project team - Provide guidance and serve as a point of escalation for project team members within an account and the client to resolve risks impacting project delivery Identify best practices developed during project and share lessons learned across the organization.

- Provide oversight to initial and ongoing risk management - Provide guidance to study team inclusive of client, as necessary, to identify potential project risks and implement contingency plans, mitigate actual risks with team members and keep client informed about risks and contingencies.

- Oversee and ensure first time quality on the project deliverables - Provide input into Account Quality agreement and project level document i.e. Project plan as required; provide oversight and support to Project Managers on quality standards for the project that drive team commitment to quality.

- Facilitate Cross-functional Collaboration - Enable all stakeholders to achieve successful study completion while maintaining high client satisfaction. Provide oversight to team goals, inspire individual ownership, and establish processes to support project result accountabilityQualificationsEducation: - B.A or B.S. Degree in scientific or equivalent required.

Knowledge and Experience: - Proven substantial advanced project management experience, preferably in healthcare, clinical research, or contract research organization

- Strong experience in Project Management / Project Leadership with expertise and high level knowledge in Medical Imaging is preferred. - Proven track record of developing client relationships at program and / or account level - Proven substantial leadership and people management experience is essential.

- Strong command of written and spoken English language, local language proficiency as required
