SIA-STM Senior Director (Oversight)

We are currently recruiting for a SIA-STM Senior Director to join our team in EMEA, working remotely. In this role you will provide leadership and senior oversight within assigned projects/groups for site activation related activities and collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement study/program level start-up strategy and execution plans. The role provides strategic direction and creates a high-performance culture through leadership. It serves as a representative for the organization and client groups, oversees the preparation, negotiation and finalization of deliverables, and leads or contributes to department and cross-functional initiatives and strategies to optimize service delivery.

Main responsibilities:

• Provides strategic direction and leadership within designated assigned area (e.g. region, client portfolio, Therapeutic Area or focus area, etc.)

• Leads/participates in study/program review meetings as required. Monitors status of projects delivery to operational, strategic and financial plans and ensures effective delivery.

• Regularly assesses all risk categories and collaborates cross-functionally with internal/external teams for recommendations and strategies to mitigate identified risks. Ensures interventional or recovery strategies are quickly implemented to optimize project delivery

• Ensures an effective alignment of teams within the global management team. Partners with the leadership team, internal and external stakeholders, and executives to ensure an effective integration of site activation requirements at the country, regional and global levels

• Leads strategic initiatives and oversees the development and implementation of systems, processes and policies for the group, including implementation of technology solutions, training programs and associated change management to achieve department goals

• Oversees strategic activities with customers and project teams to develop methods for effectively accelerating the overall site activation process

• Acts as liaison and escalation point for targeted key accounts regarding departmental services and deliverables. Ensures accurate, timely and appropriate communication internally and with clients

• Participates in business development activities to obtain additional contracts by reviewing sections of proposals related to site activation, delivering effective presentations to potential clients and representing the location/region at appropriate professional meetings and conferences.SIA-STM Senior Director (Oversight)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 15 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training.• Outstanding strategic thinking, planning and organization skills• Capable of analyzing data, anticipating and mitigating risk, exercising sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making working while under pressure and at times with limited desired information• Mastery of using personal influence and persuasion to effectively promote ideas and proposals to shape stakeholder opinions• Capable of developing and cultivating strong internal/external networks of contacts and resources to ensure operational execution• Proven skills in building relationship and working effectively in matrix environments• Excellent change management skills to influence and motivate, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills• Demonstrated credible leadership style, with concise, well organized oral and written communication skills and proven ability to mobilize and foster team productivity• Capable of motivating managers and supervisors to define and reach team objectives• Mastery of budgeting, forecasting and resource management• Superior oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing• Extremely efficient, well-organized and demonstrates a strong attention to detail• Deep understanding and experience of study start-up operations in a global environment• Expert understanding of FDA, GCP, and ICH guidelines with a track record of successful operational delivery
